Tian: I am interested in Japanese culture. I want to study sociology and social work. In Japan, sociology and social security are relatively well-managed. That’s why I wanted to study abroad in Japan.
Zhang: I also like Japanese culture. I also like anime. Japan is safer than other countries. So, my family isn’t worried.
Takaku: What kind of anime do you like?
Zhang: I’ve seen every Japanese anime.
Takaku: That's how you started studying Japanese.
Tian: I’ve seen many Japanese anime when I was a child. At that time, I’ve become interested in Japanese. That’s why I wanted to study Japanese.
Takaku: You have been exposed to and studied Japanese anime since childhood.
Zhang: I also like Japanese anime and games. I think speaking Japanese is easy.
Takaku: How long have you been studying in Japan?
Tian: Since last July.
Zhang: For about a year.
Takaku: Do you have any trouble listening and speaking Japanese now?
Zhang: Daily life is okay.
Tian: I can exchange using simple words.
Takaku: So, you can have a simple exchange after a year or so of study.
Tian: I want to enter a famous university. I want to study sociology in university. After I graduate from university, I want to work for a Japanese publishing company. I want to raise awareness of social security as a social issue.
Takaku: You have great goals. Good luck!
Zhang: In the future, I want to study archaeology. I want to know about the culture of today and the culture of the past. After I graduate from university, I want to return to China and become a teacher of Japanese culture.
Takaku: Which university do you two want to go to?
Tian: Ritsumeikan University.
Zhang: Teikyo University. I want to go to the department where I can study archaeology at Teikyo University.
